Laura Kaeppeler, a 23-year-old beauty queen from Wisconsin, was crowned Miss America 2012 on Saturday after beating 52 other young women from across the United States. Her win marks the first time Miss Wisconsin has taken home the crown since 1972. Kaeppeler won a $50,000 scholarship and a yearlong run with the crown after answering a question about whether Miss America should declare her political affiliation by saying, "Miss America represents everyone ... Miss America represents all." Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson came in second while Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte placed third.

New year, new hairdo!

Kim Kardashian rang in 2012 with a fresh new hairstyle: full, blunt bangs.
Dressed up in a white-hot Gucci mini with a keyhole cutout at the neckline, the Kim and Kourtney Take New York star showed off her famous curves at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas Saturday. She paired her waist-length locks with Loren jewels and metallic peep-toe pumps.
The 31-year-old, who filed for divorce on Oct. 31 after just 72 days of marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries, was more than happy to kick-off a new start. And while the sparkle may have fizzled out from her relationship, Kardashian notes that she'll make up for it by glitzing out her wardrobe.
"I wasn't a big sequin fan, but I just got into sequins for our Christmas card where I wore this little tuxedo jacket," she told Us Weekly before the clock struck midnight at Tao. "And I'm seeing lots of metallics [that I want to wear] more casually."
2011 also marked one of the star's most questionable fashion choices -- a leopard print, bell-bottom jumpsuit. So will we see Kardashian in an adult onesie anytime soon?
"To get it out there, I'm not feeling jump suits at the moment!" she exclaimed.

Debra Messing, Husband Daniel Zelman Split After Ten Years

It's bound to be a bittersweet holiday season for Debra Messing. After a decade together, the Will and Grace star, 43, and husband Daniel Zelman have called it quits, they tell Us Weekly in an exclusive statement.
"Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage," Messing's rep tells Us. Messing and actor/TV producer Zelman, 44, met years ago as students at New York University, married in 2000, and share a 7-year-old son, Roman.

Angelina Jolie: How She'll Explain Her Wild Days to Her Kids

As a devoted humanitarian and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie has made headlines traveling the world, bringing attention to global issues and providing aid to refugees, but she tells Anderson Cooper that her wild past that could be catching up with her soon.
“You were a little wilder when you were younger,” Anderson says to Angelina.
“I think we all thought that,” Angelina replied during an hour-long daytime exclusive interview.
During the intimate conversation, Jolie tells Anderson that she had concerns about being a mother. “I didn’t know even know if I’d ever be a mother, be a good mother... I was nervous.”
“You weren’t sure if you’d be a good mother?” asks Anderson.
“When I was younger I thought, oh god, I couldn't be somebody’s mother.”
Anderson asks the mother of six if she looks back on when she was younger and thinks to herself, “What was I doing?”
“I just know it’s going to come back at me very soon with my children.”
“Yeah, how will you explain when your kids are teenagers and you try to discipline them… and they’re like, ‘Uh... you used to wear blood around your neck.’”
Her response? “Yes I did.”

Despite will.i.am's spectacular special effects in the clip, the recently separated superstar rumored to be dating a much younger man steals the limelight. The Black Eyed Peas frontman catapults himself from a speeding bike, stands atop of a racing train, and flies a spaceship, but viewers will walk away remembering J. Lo.

In another sequence, Lopez flaunts stilettos, thigh-high stockings and a leotard.

These looks were first popularized by then twenty-something pop stars Britney Spears and Beyonce. Britney was strategically covered with diamonds in her "Toxic" video, and wore a two-piece nude bodysuit for the 2000 VMAs. The leotards Beyonce wore for her "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" video were just as popular as the anthemic song. But time will tell whether the ladies will be able to don the styles in 10 years when they are J. Lo's age.

When your career is falling apart, you're in trouble with the law, and the only time you make news these days is when you're in rehab, when you're in court, or when you show up late to your community service stint at the city morgue, there's only one thing left to do: Pose for Playboy! That's the strategy 25-year-old beleaguered actress Lindsay Lohan announced she'd be going with after the fabled adult mag offered her $1 million to strip down in front of the camera a few months back.
And while the world will have to wait until the magazine releases its January/February issue on December 15 and Lohan debuts her spread that day on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" — a pic of the cover was leaked online earlier today. As for those "tasteful" photos Lindsay's mom Dina promised, well, so far the one we've seen has the "Mean Girls" actress straddling a bunny chair with its ears covering her breasts. Not quite the definition of tasteful.
Though many may see the publicity stunt as pathetic, the starlet is actually in good company, following in the naked footsteps of successful actresses Drew Barrymore, Joan Collins, Charlize Theron, Sharon Stone, and Lohan's idol Marilyn Monroe (never mind the part where the icon died of an overdose at age 36).
Will the photo spread rejuvenate Lohan's career? Hard to say. If not, there's always Penthouse …
